Sandra. Mirka. You will be proud of me.

I got so piss ass drunk on Saturday night, passed out in the street, got taken to the hospital, and have a twisted ankle. I am still slightly hungover.

Yes.

Anyways, been a while since I have updated. Second year started about a week ago and everything is going fine so far. Just that beginning-of-term-panic in which your like, shit, I am gonna be working my ass off for the next four months. Classes should be good though. I only have classes on Tuesday and Thursday since I have two online courses, and it is great. I love how of the majority of the week, I can just lie in bed and do work from there - its going to come in major handy when the winter DOOM comes. Did really well in my summer courses though, considering how I had lost all the motivation for life by the time the exams rolled around. I hated it so much. I thought it wouldn't bother me to have something to do over the summer, but all I wanted to do was chill, and I couldn't do that. I have learned my lesson - you have to take a break now and again, and it is about time I did that.

A couple weeks ago, I finally got the chance to volunteer for YFU. I had way too much fun with Katilynn and one of the other returnees. I can't wait to get more involved with them now that I spend 90% of my time in Guelph. One of the reasons I couldn't help out sooner was because I was so far away from their main office and where they do orientations that I could never get up there. Now, since I am in Guelph, I am only about 30 minutes away. Yay! It kinda renewed my interest in Japanese and picking it back up again. I haven't lost as much as I thought I did (I discovered this when talking to the Japanese students), and I plan on studying it in my spare time if possible. I want to take the JLPT again, but that probably won't happen this year, because of my crazy exam schedule. I am actually trying to convince my mother to host a student, and I want to be directly involved with helping YFU expand down into the Niagara Region. Here's hoping I can make that happen.

Anyways, probably going to be going back to NYC this April with my mom, even though I made the decision to head to Japan again once I finish school. I will just have to save up for that after my return trip to NYC - which will be sweet.

Moved into the new house for school. it is a lovely house, but our washing machine is broken and the landlord keeps putting off coming up to fix it. We are getting really annoyed and may have to take care of it ourselves. In which case, she will owe 400 bucks for a new washing machine. :)

I have recently got into Shaman King, which is the weirdest thing ever. I was never a huge fan, but I did enjoy the anime when played oh so many years ago on the Fox Box. Now, I am like OMFGSHAMANKINGMANGAILOVEYOUHAO it is crazy. I even bought a Yoh plushie off of Ebay. WTF it is the cutest thing ever. Loving the remake of FMA too, but I still love the original for personal reasons.

Speaking of which, it will be five years for my dad on Wednesday. I can't believe he has been gone that long, and looking back, I can't believe everything that has happened since them. My mom and I both have come along way, but I know we both have a long way to go. Thinking about it, it is something that I will never be completely able to walk away from; everyday when I wake up I am reminded of that fact that hes not here anymore. I still miss him terribly, and I will always miss him, but everyday, it gets easier to talk about.

Anyways, must be off. I have a new ep of FMA to watch ~

P.S, Read the Shaman King manga here ---->>> http://www.mankin-trad.net/

Yes, I live. It has been ages since I updated this thing. Second semester has come and gone, and I can't believe that my first year at Guelph is through. Its crazy. I have some summer course that I am taking, because I need a science credit but I don't have room for it in my semesters, but I also have political science and serial murder, which is going to be awesome. When I finish those classes, it will put me a credit ahead, which is awesome.

W00t summer. I am working though, so that sucks. But I plan on having a bit of fun too.

Went to NYC... it was SOOO awesome! I had such a great time. I was so glad that Michael was able go. It made the trip that much better. I hope that we will be going on another trip in a few years after I finish university. We are considering Egypt... I have wanted to go there since I was a little kid, so hoping that works out. :)

90% on my political science midterm bitches! W00t. I own politics soul.

Anyways, things have been going really well. I finished my Women's Studies essay on Legally Blonde, which I will be posting on SteelQuill at some point in case people are interested in reading it. My partner and I got my psychology paper done, and I plan on finishing my philosophy paper today once Andrew (TA) checks it over. Yay, so that means only one more to go! I have started that one (which is political science by the way) but I would hardly call it a good start. I plan on skipping my 3 hours political science lecture to work on it. I figure it is worth it to skip, considering the amount of work I can get done in three hours (PS is a three hour lecture). That's the plan anyways. I hope to have that sucker done by Wednesday. Here's hoping. Its only 5 pages double spaced; I can handle it.

This week I am heading home. So excited! It will have been three weeks since I have seen everyone, so I am really looking forward to it. On Friday I am giving a presentation to Tanner's class about the transition from high school into university. I shall TRY not to scare the shit out of them :). Plus, I have grad this saturday, and then Michael and I, along with Chelsea and Aaron are going out for dinner and lazer ball in Niagara Falls. Its gonna be a lot of fun!

All the fun this weekend is part of the reason I want to get all my essays done this week. I really want to have some time off and have some fun :). I am gonna have to bring my psychology with me though. With all the essays I have had to do, I haven't been doing my reading, and I really need to get caught up before the midterm next thursday. Thats my plan for Friday and hopefully for a little bit on Thursday night too... after Josh and I are finished craving a pumpkin!

Anyways, thats all for now... PEACE

Randomly sitting in class waiting for more people to show up... weeeeee~

I think I did really well on my political science midterm. :D I am really looking forward to seeing the mark. I ended up with a 77% on my Women's Studies midterm, which is alright I guess, but I am slightly disappointed. But, I did a presentation in that class that was worth more and I got an 85% on it, and the big epic essay and the final are still to come, which I plan to work really hard on and study really hard for. I want to aim for at least an 80% in all my classes.... I'm not sure if I will get that in philosophy though, but we will see.

Essay doom tonight yay! :)

My God, it seems like I disappeared for awhile or died or something...

Ok, so, it has been ages since I updated this thing, and I am far to lazy and tired to write everything up. :)

I started school a little over a month ago and it has been quite the experience. When I first arrived on campus, everything was new, exciting, and offered a whole new challenge for me. Honestly, I hated it. I realized how comfortable I was in my little bubble and even though I have been aboard, there was a whole world out there that I had never seen, and wasn't sure I was really ready for. I was completely terrified and beating myself up for it. I don't mean to sound like a snob here, but I had it so easy in high school; barley had to left a finger and I got 90's. That doesn't fly here. You need to work so hard for what you get. I mean, Jesus, university is so much more than I expected it to be, but God, I almost ran from this new academic challenge and life. I mean serious breakdown here, questioning as to whether or not be coming a lawyer was gonna be worth it. I went home the second week in, and basically bitched, whined, and cried my eyes out to anyone who would listen. When I got back, I decided I had to look at this in a positive light, and embrace university. I did just that. I put my nose to the grind stone and worked my ass off to catch up with all my readings, and I got ahead on some assignments. Plus, I joined some things on campus, including the school paper and the Legal Resource Room. A week later, walking out of philosophy, I had a revelation:

I fucking love this.

The challenge turns me on. Its awesome. I love it when they say you can do better, or you can improve in these aspects, or I am going to push you to do better. It is fucking great. I feel like in the short month I have been here, I have learned so much and gained so much. I am not growing as an academic, but as a person.

I'm learning... not just memorizing and forgetting.

I'm engaged with the material.

Its just.... awesome. I feel in someways, I have woken up from a deep slumber and I am finally making use of the brain God gave me.

Finally! :D

I feel I will walk out of this university ready to take on the world.

In other news, it is Thanksgiving this weekend, and I am so excited to see everyone this weekend. It is gonna be grand to have drinks with Chelsea on Friday night too.

Well, I am off to class~

Remember kids, stay in school :)

Oh gezz, it appears I have abandoned this journal. 7 weeks and no update? What have I been doing with myself?

Quite a lot actually :). Summer has been going pretty well for me; been seeing/spending time with everyone, been going places, and keeping busy. Surprisingly, I haven't really been bored a lot this summer. Which is strange, since it normally takes me about a month to start whining to my mother that there is nothing to do. I have just been relaxing and taking it all in. I'm really grateful for this summer...It was tough being away from everyone in Japan last year, so it's good to sit back, rest up, and try to make up for lost time with everyone. All in all, this summer has been very satisfying. What I am really happy about is I got to spend a lot of time with Michael. :)

I have been t shopping quite a few times for school stuff and new clothes. God did I ever need new tops ><. I have everything that I need for my dorm now, so the only task I have left is to pack everything up. I have to get working on that all this last week, but I hope to get it down as soon as possible, since if we do it early, it gives me time to pick up last minute stuff. I GOT INTO THE INTERNATIONAL HOUSE... which was my first choice so rock on. I move it next Saturday at 12:30pm. OOOooh yaaaa. My roommate, Elyse, seems really nice, and we share a love of So You think You Can Dance and shopping. I'm hoping we get along really well. :) I have met a few people online that are living in the International House, and they seem nice too. I'm really looking forward to it! But I tell you, it will be weird to pack my suitcase again. Something tells me it's gonna bring back many a memory.

Finally got to go to Canada's Wonderland. It was OK...I wasn't really that impressed with it. There was a lot of people there, so the lines were really long, so we only hit three rides. We did go to the water park, though. Still, all the little brats splashing me with FREEZING cold water kinda spoiled that for me. Meh, it was a day out with Kelly and Chelsea, so I can't complain. But for the 30 dollar admission price, I was expecting a little more.

Chelsea and I went dress shopping the other day. We have been out twice so far, and we have found some really nice dresses. There was one that she came out that as soon as I saw it I knew it was THE dress. My heart stopped and I even started to cry. Not only did it look amazing on her, but the price was right, which is a hugh perk. She has been reviewing all the dresses she has tried on, and she keeps going back to look at that one, which pleases me. I really hope that she pick that dress. I swear, it's the ONE.

Michael and I went to the drive-in last night Chelsea and Aaron, and then stayed the night. We ended up watching Scary Movie, since that was randomly on TV last night at 1am. Haha gotta love that movie.

Well, I'm off to eat dinner~

6 DAYS

~Peace

P.S. I just bought myself a T.M. Revolution Hello Kitty keychain.

 until Orientation Week at Guelph!

SO excited!!

Anyways, things have been going well. I have gotten my summer off to a half decent start I figure. Been shopping, watching movies, sleeping, paiting, more shopping, hanging with Mike, and nothing. Ahhh...just like summer should be. Today, I am debating whether tp go downstairs and watch the second and third seasons of House on  DVD, or stay up in my room and A.) finish my sculpture, or B.) paint something. Hmmm... decisions decisions... I also have to get a hold of Liz today for various reasons, so if you see this Liz, come online!

I went to get my grades at the school the other day, and I think I did pretty well! I got a 86% on my sociology exam, which kind of makes me angry considering it was an easy exam and I should have gotten higher, but I guess that is what I get for leaving the studies for that exam 'till the day before, forcing me to study for it from 11am till 10pm at night straight.

Yeah, I'm cool like that.

I am will come out with about 90-91% in the class, so no worries. I got a 90% on my Writer's Craft, which means I end up with 94% in the class (W00t? Yes.) and I pwned my philosophy exam, meaning a 91% in the class and perhaps the philosophy award at grad! That would be wonderful.

I won another scholarship too, so that makes three separate awards for school. Two from Guelph including the entrance and scholarship thing, and then I got one from the town for $500. Thats always a bonus. What is better yet is they gave it to me now, since the cheque would be close to expiring if they gave it to me at the grad, so they just gave it to me now. Its awesome, considering, like the nerd I am, that I want to get my textbooks early so I can read up on stuff, I won't have to pay for them myself ^^.

Well, thats all...

*Points up* First time ever using Japanese in my LJ. I love it

Anyways...I AM DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I officially cast off thy chains of oppression and free thyself from bondage!

*throws confetti and jumps around*

I no longer am a high school student. I am officially done, and I couldnt be happier!! YAY

Exams went really well. The writer's craft one was a little effy, but I think I did ok. I totally pwned both philosophy and sociology though. W00t! I will go in on Tuesday to get my grades and see how I did on the exams, but in the mean time, I will be doing whatever I want, when I want, as I AM FREEEE!!!!

There isnt a whole lot to look forward to this summer, but Trine is coming back in a few weeks, and I am really excited to see her. The fez will unite! She will be sticking around for about a month, and will most likely be staying at my house for a bit which will be totally cool. I'm looking forward to that. I probably won't have a job for the summer, as I dropped off my resume at maybe....12 places, and not one has called me back. So, I think I will have alot of free times on my hands. It sucks, but I can't say I didn't try. No one is hiring, and if they are, they ain't going to hire a student that will only be there for two months. So, I am looking forward to hanging with friends and Mike as much as I can this summer before I head off to uni in...74 days? EXCITEDOMG

I can't wait to go shopping for dorm stuff. Its lame, but I love shopping for indoor stuff. XD I CANT WAIT.

Tonight, I am going out to celebrate with Mike by going to dinner and to see Love Guru. It promises to be good.

Party on Saturday most likely ^^

Weee~ Relaxin time

Update DOOM!

Well, just to let everyone know, I am officially updating for the first time on my new mac computer! I love it so much...so shiny and awesome. However, I think its gonna take a lot of getting used to. That is of course, the main reason I got it so early. This mac is supposed to be for school, which is true, but since it is really different, I will need some time to learn the in's and out's of it before school starts, so I can be pro. I'm sure I can manage it. Mike's brother is going to give ma crash course, so it will be all good.

YAY MAC

Yes, say whatever you want PC people. I love my mac and it owns.

In other news, there is only two weeks left of school before exams and then I am officially free of this crap forever. No more high school. I am so glad I can't even begin to describe it in words. I knew when I got back from Japan that I would have to finish up, but I am just so over it...I don't know. I feel like I have already moved on and I am just stuck there. Plus, there is drama going around that I am so fed up with, so I can't wait for it all to end. Hooray! I can finally move on with my life and start an amazing four years at Guelph University.

So, right now, just finishing projects and going to begin studying this weekend. Then I shall wrap it up!

I got tickets to see Jeff Dunham! OH YEA. Sold out show baby ya.

It has occured to me that I haven't updated this thing in a while, so since I have a second...

Not a whole lot is going on right now. I think I mentioned on LJ before that I have officially decided to go to Guelph Uni, considering how I really like the school and I still haven't heard from UofT. Guess what...

I got into UofT.

Ok, I am not changing my mind at this point, but seriously, what the fuck took UofT so long? It is complete bull if you ask me. Like I explained to Kelly, just because they are Mr. Top Freaking Uni they can do whatever they want and expect me to come crawling to them now that they finally gave me an offer. I don't think so. Guelph has offered me so much, and I ain't giving that up. Honestly, way to leave it to the last minute. I think, however, that it has alot of do with my grades not being sent in when they were supposed to, but still. I e-mailed UofT about it to let them know and they never said anything. Really impersonal.

I still feel some satisfaction though, 'cause I got into one of the top schools in Canada. So thats cool. But, I'm happy with Guelph. I can always go to UofT for law school. Haha, but it does feel weird, considering it like saying, "Go! Go Top School! I don't need you! I have to go to this school now!" But oh well.

Oh! I picked my courses for my first semester at Guelph! I'm excited. They are making me a stupid science course, so I picked astronomy. Sounded easiest, so I thought why not. Then, my major being psychology, I had to have one psychology course. Then, I have philosophy, women's studies, and political science. W00t. I guess we will see how crazy with stress I am by the end of the first semester XD.

I am really hoping that they will add Japanese this year, so I can take it in my second semester.

Anyways, what else?

School will be over soon! I can't freaking wait. I am so sick of high school!

AnimeNorth is next weekand, so yay. I'm fairly excited.

Uhh...yea. Not much else. XD

Well, thats all for now~
